The prestigious report of Aventures, Aventis Capital and Capital Times, leading business entities, identified the best software development companies in the CEE region (Central and Eastern Europe). Presenting the software development market, it also pointed to IT specialists from Rzeszów, where Concise Software, company with over 10 years of experience in the field of IT and specialized in Internet of Things, Blockchain and Automotive solutions, has its Headquarters.
- Concise Software as one of the two companies operating in the Rzeszów region was listed in the list of Aventures, Aventis Capital and Capital Times.
- The ranking included over 700 companies operating on the CEE market (Central and Eastern Europe – Ukraine, Poland and Belarus).
- Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Belarus are markets in which the research and development market in the context of software is growing 4 to 5 times faster than in other regions. The customers of these companies are mostly from Western Europe and the United States.
The report “Software Development in Ukraine, Poland, Belarus and Romania” covered over 700 companies producing software in the CEE region, of which slightly over 470 figured in the list. According to the author, almost every second company provided information on the most important aspects of its activity for research purposes. Software development companies were analysed by the largest IT business experts – specialists from Aventure, Capital Times and Aventis Capital. Poland has already been mentioned many times as one of the most promising countries in the field of software development: we have excellent specialists who can compete with similarly qualified but often more expensive colleagues from Western countries.

Rzeszów on the prestigious list presented in IT Market Research Report
The authors of the research approached the geography of Poland very consciously and included Rzeszów in their ranking, which seems to be an increasingly important point on the software map of Poland. The authors of the research included in the report two companies operating in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship – Concise Software and Symphony Solutions. This does not mean that other companies were deliberately overlooked – entities having their branches in Rzeszów, but originating (or considering other locations as their headquarters) were emphasized in other points. For Concise Software, however, this is a great honour. Despite the fact that Concise Software cooperates with the biggest brands in the world and runs its offices: in Kraków, Berlin and Malta, the heart of the company beats continously in the capital of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, which is officially called the “Capital of Innovation”.
It is even more important because in Poland, IT companies have at their disposal about 255 thousand IT specialists (developers, project managers, etc.), and every year there are additional 15 thousand graduates with university degrees in fields related to IT. According to the report, the largest centres of IT specialists in Poland are those cities where there are important technical universities. Therefore, Warsaw, Kraków, Silesia, Wrocław, Poznań can be indicated as the main regions where one can find a job in a software development company. But not only that – the map also includes Białystok, Gdańsk and Rzeszów. The Rzeszów University of Technology, the University of Rzeszów and the University of Information Technology and Management seem to match the needs of the local IT labour market.
The relevance of Rzeszów on the map of Europe is increasing year by year, not only as a city that develops in the field of IT, but also in the aviation industry (the famous aviation valley). For this reason, the inclusion of Rzeszów in the report is not surprising at all. From our point of view, the importance of the city will grow and its geographical position “at the gateway” of the nearby Ukraine helps a lot with the possible (and already existing) cooperation between units and companies developing technology. For Concise Software, Rzeszów is the main development office, from where we operate, provide and care for each of our customers and it will surely remain so in the years to come. Our engineering team will develop further in the heart of Podkarpacie, Rzeszów.

Polish Higher Education Institutions educate IT Specialists
Unfortunately, Rzeszów was not included in this report. According to the authors of the study, Warsaw is by far the largest academic centre in Poland in terms of prospects on the IT market, where the University of Warsaw and Warsaw University of Technology are the most important. The second most important point on the academic map after Warsaw is Kraków, where future IT specialists are educated at the Jagiellonian University and the AGH University of Science and Technology. Poznań can be proud of the Adam Mickiewicz University, where every year about 1500 IT specialists receive their diploma.
For who do we create software?
Entities operating in the CEE region usually cooperate with partners from abroad, where the needs are the greatest. It is a common practice to look for customers from North America (USA), where the IT market is extremely absorptive in the context of software solutions. According to the authors of the study, 46% of the needs are generated by this region. The second place is occupied by Western Europe, which is responsible for a fifth of the needs. Japan ranks very high too, and generates as much as 15% of the demand – this is extremely high when looking at the demography of this country.
It is worth pointing out the regions which are responsible for meeting the needs of the above mentioned regions. India, which is called “the world’s largest software house” covers as much as 44% of the market, they are definitely the leader in this area. The second place is occupied by China with a third of shares, while the third place is occupied by Brazil (10%). Eastern Europe is responsible for only 5% of the market, but it is growing like none other.
